By Car

A10 Amsterdam Ring Road, exit s113 (Watergraafsmeer). At the end of the slip road follow the signs to Watergraafsmeer, onto the Middenweg. Carry straight on through the next four sets of traffic lights. Restaurant Merkelbach/Huize Frankendael is located just before the fifth set of traffic lights on the left, in the park. Restaurant Merkelbach can be reached on foot, either under the monumental gateway or over the pedestrian bridge via the gardens.

Parking

Day time: along the Hugo de Vrieslaan (side street off the Middenweg). Paid parking Monday-Saturday, from 09.00 – 21.00 hrs at €2.40 p/hr.
Evening: free parking from 21.00 hrs along the Hugo de Vrieslaan. As a rule there is ample space.

By Public Transport

From Amsterdam Central Station: Tram route No. 9 (disembark at Frankendael Park).
From Amsterdam Central Station, or Amsterdam Amstel station: Local bus route Nos. 15, 37 and 69, or Regional bus route 152 and 163 (disembark at Middenweg/Hugo de Vrieslaan)
